About us
Hellenic Investors Association is a Non Governmental Organization which was established in 2017 in Athens, with hundreds of active members and is the Leader in Shareholder Activism in Greece
It’s main purposes are:
- A. The effective protection of the rights of investors in financial / insurance products (bonds, equities, unit linked, mutual funds, derivatives, etc)
- B. The intervention to Regulatory / Monitoring Authorities, Courts, Government, Parliament, Political Parties, etc
- C. The filling of Mass / Collective / Class Actions for compensation against all those who bear responsibility under the auspices of European Capital Markets Directives and regulations and Greek Law (Banks, Stock-Brokerage Companies, Issuers of Debt, Enlisted Companies, Auditors, etc)
- D. The representation of Investors (Private-Sophisticated-Institutional) to General Assemblies of Enlisted Companies (proxy voting and stewardship services)
- E. The introduction and promotion of Equity Culture in Greece and the continuous provision of information and education in order to effectively fight against Financial Illiteracy
